Hexawalker

Hello my fellow stampers.

I want to build a hexawalker from scratch. I am going to use two
servos per leg. And, since I'll need twelve of these suckers I need
suggestions where to find them cheap. The lowest I found was around
12 dollars from parallax, which isn't bad but if I can go cheaper it
sure would help the project along. Thanks,

Frank G.

Check out the BP128 servos from Balsa Products.
They are only $8.00 each, and are excellent servos.

I think they are replicas of the Futaba FP-S148 servos.

    Sorry. That's the BP148, not BP128.

Tower hobbies would be your best bet for servos

the Ts-53 standard servo with a futaba j connector on it costs $9.99 each or
    3 for $26.99
    or there HItec rcd servos

    # sg2905 hs-300 with futaba j connector is also $9.99 each and i think
they would be about your best choice for them

    Hi Frank,

    Try ebay! (ebay.com)

It's amazing the stuff you can find there. I just purchased eight
servos (albiet older ones) off of ebay for about $47 including
shipping. It includes a bunch of horns and extensions and misc stuff
that I probably want. I've had enormous success using ebay. Check it
out. There's always used servos available. Might take you a bit to
get the ones you want or enough matching pairs but hey...

    Good luck!

    Ross
