looking for a dac

i am looking for a digital to analog converter to use in a project with a
basic stamp and would greatly value input form the group. right now i am
going through maxims' web site but i don't know that much about dacs. any
suggestions? some of the parameters i have nailed down are as fallows:

resolution: 8 bit
interface: parallel
output voltage range: 0vdc - 10vdc
output current: 6ma typ

more that one dac per chip is a plus, i am trying to keep the chip count
low and i need a total of 8 channels, if the is a chip that will have 4, 6,
or 8 channels on a chip with an output range of 0 to 5vdc i am willing to
use an op amp to buffer and amplify the outputs. thank you for your time.

    Lincoln,

I've used Texas Instruments' TLC7226 with good results. It's a quad
parallel DAC with voltage outputs. I think it was simpler with regard to
power supply requirements than Maxim's equivalent version, and it costs
    less...

A parallel interface with the stamp is going to use up many pins. Are you
sure you can't use a serial device? I've just used the MAX525 which is a
quad 12 bit serial DAC. These can be daisy chained for more channels if you
need it...it works well and has lots of great features. You could interface
two of these to a stamp with four lines ie. <CLK, DATA> and two chip
    select lines...

The MAX525 has it's own quad opamp circuit. A great chip!
