servos so that they are able to run at variable speeds in full
circles.
I modified a Futaba FP-S148 by removing the stop tab and the
potentiometer drive plate.
After that hack, I connected the servos to the SX28 Tech Bot and
calibrated the servos so that when the velocity parameter in my
program equaled 0, the servos were both stopped. The way that I
calibrated the servos was by adjusting the shaft of the potentiometer
until the servo was not moving.
The hack for the Futaba S3003 is the same except that you have to
drill out the "+" sign from the inside of the gear on top of the
potentiometer so that the servo gears are able to rotate a full 360
degrees.
If you are interested in the code that I used for the robot, I can
send it to you or put it in the files section of the egroup if you
like.
thanks,
Fractal
