If the stepper has two coils, it is called a bipolar stepper. You must
drive the coils both high and low in the correct sequence. An L293D is a
good IC to use if your coils draw less than 0.6 amps. Attached is a simple
example file from Seattle robotics.
I have a small stepper motor out of a floppy drive. It has 4 wires -
white+red and blue and green. There are two coils. How can i get this to
work with a bs2 . i have tryed turning one coil on then the other at a bunch
of different speeds but it just vibrates back and forth.
