Speech recognition

Hi All,
I have a BS2 controlled robot and I want to add speech control. Jameco has
two units by sensory,P/N's 173489 and 162691. Does anyone have experience or
knowledge on either of these units? and how friendly they are with the BS2. I
just need a few simple commands and not use a handheld mic! This is a large
robot so size is not a problem.

Are there any reasonable chips that can be programmed to recognize a few
phonic patterns (10 or so would be great) and give output to the stamp?
