Basic Stamp II OEM Kit

I would be interested to know if anyone has had experience with the basic stamp II OEM kit? It has a circuit board with DB9 connector for programming. It is like a stamp II and carrier board combined, without the prototype area. I have included pix. Prices are 1-4 $39 ea. and 5+ for $34 ea. Sure beats $49 for the stamp II and $20 for the carrier board. $69 compared with $39 for one, I ordered some kits. I will advise as to how well all works. I would love to hear some input from anyone who has purchased one and what your results were.

Connections were with connectamundos from Scott Edwards.

I am planning to use some of these on my distributed processing project also
for control. I have ordered 5 to play with. Also thinking about making my
own boards to use with Stamp II-SX OEM Chips.
