Thanks also for Bruce Bates but the sensor I am looking is not this
Flex(bend)Sensor. It seems like e an elastic rubber wire that can
change in its lenght.

Are you looking for the pneumatic muscle arm actuator ?
Perhaps you are looking for Muscle Wire, which changes it's length due to
heat, and returns to its pre-stressed length upon cooling ??? It is often
the general belief that it is electricity that causes the change in length,
but in reality, it is the heat caused by the current flow. It can be used
BOTH as an actuator, and as a stress/strain element (I believe) although
the sales pitch is towards the former, not the latter.
Muscle wire can be found from various sources, HVWTech [ www.hvwtech.com ],
and Mondotronics ("The Robot Store") and others, as well. The proper
trademarked name is Nitrinol wire (I believe) due to the alloy, and
pre-stressing techniques. It is available in various wire sizes and small
bar stock.

A.C.:
I think you are most likely looking for the "Rubbery Ruler" which was
invented at the University of Melbourne. Here's the link to their
information:
