Dave,
Depending on what you need to do with the outputs, it may be as
simple as adding one or more serial-in parallel-out chips. This will
give you 8 or 16 or more outputs from 3 pins. As Al Williams pointed
out, there are a number of co-processor solutions available which are
more expensive (but less than an additional Stamp), but which off-
load complex output functions from the Stamp and let your Stamp
program spend more time on inputs. We have a variety of these
available, as do several other vendors, depending on what kind of
outputs you need to drive.
