homemade carrier boards

I have seen the discussion going on about homemade carrier boards. I have
designed a circuit board for Phil Andersons home brew stamp kit.It also has
onboard room for a 555 timer to drive IR output, outputs for all 16 stamp
pins,db9 serial plug, power supply plug ,reset switch, power switch and 3
outputs for standard servos, being driven either directly off the stamps
output power or thru the onboard 5 volt regulator, plus 1"x2" of drilled
lands wired as a breadboard for prototyping. All on a 3x4 form factor.
Originally I made this just for my own use,but I could make some for a few
people if they wished, however I cannot find a source for inexpensive photo
sensitive pc boards,Also I have not found female pin sockets for stamp
outputs,(currently I use an IC socket broken in half to use as pin outputs).
I was looking for something similar to what parallax uses on there stamp kit
that allows people to plug wires into the outputs for prototyping.I have
found .1 centered male pins, but not female pins :(
I am no professional designer, but the board works nice for me <S>
The uneteched boards cost me $3 now, and of course some time in drilling
the holes.
Please feel free to write me directly if anyone has such an interest.

Sincerely
Kerry

    Kerry:

Try Radio Shack for your 0.1 spaced female DIP sockets. They used to carry a
white one that works great and it isn't very expensive. Also Jameco
Electronics is a good source for all of that type of hardware, they are
usually much less expensive than Radio Shack too. I use Jameco for almost
all of my IC, sockets, connectors etc.

    Regards,

    Randy A.

    Kerry-

Maybe you could post a. Gif and we could etch our own boards.
