Read Receipts/Size of Stamp Group

Hi Al,
You may well be correct on the size of the stamp group, however even
if this were true
and we lowered the percentage to perhaps even 5% when you receive only
some 25-30
return receipts the overall group is still quite small. This was my
meaning.
In any case, I'm back to the drawing board (figuratively speaking).

Comments
are people who have it set not to send them mail and they never read the
posts. I've always heard (on the old list) somewhere around 1000.
No big deal either way -- just a curiosity.

of bandwidth. If you are trying to assess how large a list is, warn users
before sending a receipt-marked email.
I personally have the auto-send receipt feature turned off, and answer 'No'
when asked if I want to send one to someone who asked.
In most cases it's due to people having their mail program to automatically
mark messages with confirmation requests.
