Cheap Microcontroller Programmer

I am trying to find A circuit and software that can easily program a
68HC705J1A. I don't want to pay BIG bucks to buy one. I have seen
EZ circuits that will program PICs before...will they do this chip as
well? I ask because I want to make the PC keyboard interface in the
July issue of Poptronics and it needs that 68HC705J1A chip to work.
Then I can use a PC keyboard with my BS2! :-)

easily. Cheap PIC programmers won't do it. Some "universal" programmers
might but those generally cost money. Just as an aside, our PAK-VI will also
let you use a PC keyboard with a BS2 or any thing else. It has two modes:
you can get ASCII characters, or you can get raw codes. The ASCII set is
extended to give you some function keys, etc. It will also read a PS/2 mouse
with the right program.
