If this was the case it would no longer be the "basic" stamp, it would be
the "java stamp" or "C++ stamp."

The Basic in the BasicStamp is embedded within
the divice. If you want to program in C or C++ or
Java or Pascal or Forth or PLM or . . there are a few
more, all you need to do is aquire the compiler and
code away. All these language tool are available for
PIC, Atmel, Scenix, and any other micro you are
interested in. And you get the added advantage of
coding in assembler, as this is what these tool code
to. If you are interested I can give you a list of sites
where the best tools are located.

    cheers

Try http://www.ibutton.com/TINI/index.html This is a web server board for
$50 that has Java JVM and can support servlets. It comes with a free JDK for
    board.

I have the Tiniboard and the weatherstation. They plug into eachother,
with the new software the web server servers applet/jar file to the
    browser and
you get real time weather data served to the browser.

You need to bootstrap the board from the serial port. My NR machine is
quirky with it, but my 95 machine is fine. After that you can use the
ethernet interface. I have a cable modem and want to set everything up so
that I can get the weather data from the net. I fly RC airplanes and the
    field is near my house.
