Can anyone recommend a FREE Serial Terminal Emulator for Windows 98
so that I can configure a Port & Send and Receive Commands. I would
like to use this for designing/prototyping Basic Stamp SERIN & SEOUT
commands. I would also like to be able to send/receive commands to
any RS232 Device such as a Voltmeter or other Meter. My knowledge of
hyperterminal does not allow commands to be used in this way.
I plan on purchasing VB 6 Pro later.
Thanks,

Doesn't Win98 come with Hyperterminal as one of the accessories. I know it
does come with Win95.

This tip sheet shows how to configure the program, and lists some known
peculiarities.
Scott has plenty of other helpful info on this same page.
