Reading a pressure transducer signal with a bs2 stamp.

·i have a pressure transducer that gives an output between 1volt and 4volts that is proportional to a varying pressure applied to the transducer.
·does anyone know how this varying voltage (and pressure) may be read by the bs2?
·the way varying·resistance can be read using the rctime feature, is the type of thing that would be ideal.
· i would appreciate any assistance.

I think you are going to need to use an ADC.
See http://geocities.com/SiliconValley/Orchard/6633/altimeter.html
for a good discussion of reading a pressure transducer with a BS2
site, it gives hookup and programming instructions for an ltc device (12
bits)

servo cylinders of an automatic transmission relative to transmission output
speed.
I am intending to store the two values consecutively in the stamps EEPROM
and then read them after the end of the vehicle test run.

LTC2400 A/D from Linear Technology is for weigh-scale and pressure
measurement applications.Look at data sheet page 30,there is a code for
BS2.
What would you like to measure?.I'm also interested in such applications ((
specifically weighing systems ))

THAT IS PROPORTIONAL TO A VARYING PRESSURE APPLIED TO THE TRANSDUCER.
What pressure transducer are you using?
Paul Verhage
p.s.i. and outputs up tp 5V, I am working up to a lower pressure.

I've not heard of that one before. I'm looking for a pressure transducer
that will give an output for 1 atmosphere to vacuum. Can you tell me where
you got this sensor from? I'll like to look into it.
Paul
nature, you may want to look at a pressure/vacuum transducer that is
installed on a turbocharged Buick Grand National. It uses a 5 volt
reference value, but I can't recall the upper pressure limit.

at DIGI-KEY . Reference voltage of 5 volts output between0.25 and
4.5v at 15psi.

for 1ams to vacuum you need a psia transducer.
pounds per square inch absolute.

Their PX141-015V5V transducer handles from -15 to 0 PSIV.

Prof. Anderson has these for less and doesn't require a minimum order. Check:
http://www.phanderson.com/
and click 'ordering information'.
