PS trouble?

I have no power problems when running BS2's on carrier boards when
using a 9VDC input to the carrier's supply. When I use a 12VDC
supply, the stamp warms up and I lose serial communication - "device
not found" type error. After they cool off, and I reduce the input
voltage back to 9 or less, all is well.
What are the possibilities?
Thanks in advance,
Chris

It sounds like you may have regulator problems. Make sure your power supply
is connected to the regulator *INPUT*, not the +5 (Vcc) terminal. If your
connection is correct, maybe the regulator is bad. Put a voltmeter on the
regulator output or stamp Vcc pin; it should maintain 5V for 9 or 12 volts
in. The Stamp should not warm up noticeably.
Good luck,
