Stamp to Xecom DAA

Hi,
I'm new to electronics and I want to interface my BSII to a Xecom XE002B DAA.
The DAA shows that it has both a pin for +5V and -5V. Do I need to use both
voltages to run it? The datasheet doesn't say. Thanks for any help.
