Sharp GP2D05 PIR Help! Stamp code keeps loopin (fixed sort of)

Dear Al, Dennis and all,
I changed the battery I was using to power the stamp, and now it no
longer loops
but now I keep getting eratic 0 and 1 s on the debug screen. So I have
to assume this is a hardware problem. The sensor doesn't respond to
movement like it did.
Thanks for all your advice.

to it? I wouldn't be too quick to blame hardware failure. In my experience,
90% of the time I have loosened a connection, or pulled a wire out or done
something like that -- the simpler the problem, the harder it is to find --
usually.
Can you hook the sensor up to a scope and verify that it works the way you
expect? If you really think the Stamp input is to blame, try another input
pin -- I find that very unlikely though.
