Pulsin troubles?

Hello,
Im new to the stamp , and as a first project I tried conecting one of the
servo output ports from a radio control reciver to a bs2 pin and decode the
pwm signal with the pulsin statement. Worked fine for a while but know it's
dead. I ran the sample proggram from the manual that prints the pulsin in
value to the screen and I get random numbers instead of a number
proportional the position of the RC transmitter stick. Disconnecting the
reciver from the stamp you get the same numbers.
Any suggestions?

Thanx!
-Alex

Could be dead receiver or transmitter batteries. Also, make sure you have a
    common ground.

    Alex,

What did you change? Things don't usually just happen. Are your transmitter
and receiver batteries still good? Is the transmitter on? Usually
    nothing will
come out of the receiver if the transmitter isn't on too.

    Me again,
Ive recharged all batteerys and moved the stamp supply to a wall wort and
same effect. Cable from reciver to stamp is good according to multimeter and
the transmitter is on. Could the pulsin statement be corrupt in the eeprom?
The thinkpad Im using has before corupted one of my other controlers memory
once(Handy Board) but I could redownload its system. Anu suggestions?

    Thanx again!

    -Alex

    Alex,

Is your RS232 cable grounded? You will need to make sure that the
    computer and
stamp grounds are common. Lots of problems come from bad grounds. If
    the problem
persists, use another pin and try again. It is HIGHLY unlikely that you
    have a bad
    Stamp.
