analog to MIDI plans/code?

Hello everyone:
I've got a little summer project in mind: to build a multisensor
instrument to dend MIDI data to MAX/MSP via serial. Now, I've got my BSII,
a B of E, an Analog Devices accelerometer, and some FSRs are on the way.
Oh, and I'v got a little storebought MIDI-to-derial converter. I've got
the basic gist of how to connect stuff, but it would sure save me some
time if I could just copy some code and some plans by someone much more
experienced in these matters. Then I could spend more time riding my bike,
rather than inhaling solder fumes. If anyone can point me in the right
direction, feel free to e-mail me off list.
