Brushless dc motors 1/8th to 1/2hp?

Where can you find them, surplus would be great, spent all day searching
with no luck except for big ticket motors. What are they used for in
everyday life,, in cars, appliances?? I need brushless so I can oil fill
them for submersible use. 12vdc is what I'm hoping for on the voltage.
