My intention is to drive two or three motors for a robotics project and
since the robot will be a little heavy, I need those motors.
Current of course is the issue.
I need the Basic Stamp to control movement of the two motors
(forwards/backwards) and to react to two sensors on the robot used for
object detection.
Lots of fun!!

Well, if you max out the chip at 4Amps, make sure you put a big heat
sink on it, you'll need it. It does have some functions to limit
current, though i've never had to use them.
