BOE Bot Servos

Hi all,
I wanted to get a start in robotics so I bought the boe bot full kit. I got
it built, but were is says to attach a 10k resistor between ground & the
stamp pin that the servo is connected to and i did. It says in the the book
that stops the servos from rotating when the stamp resets and when it's
first powered on. Well the servos don't rotate when the stamp is reset but
they do give a sudden jerk when I plug power in. What did I do wrong?

That's normal, Its basically the servo waking up when it gets power. I
usually leave those resistors off, the same thing happens...

Thanks, I would of never known that. I haven't had any expence with servos
other than this robotics kit. I guess I won't work to much about those
resitors.
Thank,
