First of all what is the program saying that the "StampII found but not
working. Check power sulply"? If so you most likly got a bad stamp and in
that case call Pharallax, they make you do some test on it (well I had to
any way) and if the think the stamp is bad they will replace it free of
charge. I have had a problem like this before and Pharallax was very
helpful, I wasn't on this list then.
Hope this helps at least a little bit. There is not much you can do if it's
a bad stamp.

You didn't say if you ever got it to work. Did it just stop working or
did you just get the setup and can't get it to work?

Have you tried the newer stamp2w.exe program? It is a full GUI for Windows
OS. Its still a little rough, if you don't use the "standard" fonts then
some of the windows don't scale well, but, overall it is an improvement over
the old DOS stampII.exe or stamp2sx.exe programs.

Question #1: has it worked before? if so- ignore the following.
I thought I had the same problem. When I first got my stamp, I couldnt get
it to download. "Stamp not found" etc. Turns out that my computer would not
access the serial port from the stamp program when windows was running. (win
98se on a packard bell 850) I had to boot my computer with the "emergency
start up disk" and run the stamp program from there at the a: prompt.
My final solution after I got tired of doing that, was to get an old (free)
Windows 3.1 laptop and use that for stamping.
