They did not give me any sort of remedy to bounced emails yet they are
going to dump me. When Parallax ran the group I never got such rude
messages. Anyone have similar experiences? Anyone have any ideas how to
keep from getting dumped? e-group doesn't seem to want to help.

Is your email server intermittently connected to the net? Mine is.
I use Sendmail on Linux, with a PPP connection. If my machine isn't
connected to the net at the time that the mail is sent, the mail bounces.

The solution, in my case, was to set my ISP's mail server as my alternate
mail server, so that mail will be delivered there, when my machine
isn't available. The ISP then forwards it to me when I am connected.

It isn't unreasonable for a mail list to expect that participants
have mail addresses that are ready to accept mail when it is received.
If the bouncing problem has been there all along, and you didn't receive
complaints before, it was probably because the previous administrator
    was too busy to notice.

view the cherry blossoms in season and die with a cup of sake in his hand.

    Orrin,

This is hardly rude. Bounced email usually means a false email
account set up by spammers. This is what their security software
thinks it has detected. I suggest you correct your email before
casting aspersions. Lugnet won't even let you post without a
qualified email address and you have to use your real name as
well! All of the reputable bulletin boards have to do something
    to verify email account validity.

Dennis, if I read e-group's message correctly, I am to be dropped because
of e-mail bounced to my address and I have only sent e-mail to the list
after receiving their message. I have the same address that I have had
for a couple of years and have been receiving e-mail from the list all
    this time with no trouble.

Hi Orrin, I got the same message today. Perhaps e-group has something
    against juno.com?
I have been receiving about the usual number of messages from the list
and haven't made any changes. Anyone have any ideas?

    Charles,

Its time to send email to egroups then I guess. Maybe they have
munged your address, or, as someone else suggested, they don't like
    Juno addresses...
