Hard Drive Interface
Archiver

Hi I am currently developing an IDE hard drive interface to a
microcontroller and using a stamp 2 to test feasibility. I would like to
know if anyone has done this before and has any documents they can share.
What would probably help me the most is a few timing diagrams on how to send
and receive data to the registers. Any information of file systems would
also help.
Thanks for any help

This guy hooked up a Radio Shack colour computer to an IDE drive. It does
have timing diagrams, but you'll still need an eight bit wide data bus and
a handful of control lines. Goto:

On another note, the IDE interface is apparently what's used for smart
cards, too. :^)
