Making a pin high or low

I have 2 BS2's each connected to a pair of linx RF modules. I have gotten both
to send and receive but only when I remove power from the transmitter of the one
receiving. The HP docs say that the PDN pin on the transmitter can be used to
power down the transmitter by making the pin low. My question: Can I connect
this pin directly to a BS2 pin and do a high or low pin# to power up and powered
down the transmitter or do I need to add a component or 2?
