where can i d/l code for the boe-bot? are there any dedicated sites or anything?

    Are you referring, in particular, to the code that is printed in the actual "Robotics" text?

    i was refering to source code type things, things other people have developed and stuff

    We recommend you to type those programs to fully learn to program the Boe-Bot.

    If you just run the programs your learning experience won't be as complete.
    This is also true in Schools where Educators are using this book to teach Robotics.
    They requested us to not release the source code of What's a Microcontroller and Robotics with the Boe-Bot, so we didn't even generate it.

    We only make available source code from advanced books, where the code is long and complex.

    And for the second part of your question, I'd recommend you to check this thread, where you can freely download the book IR Remote for the Boe-Bot:

    This is fully compatible with your Boe-Bot (you'll only need a Sony TV remove control).
