why no more 100mhz?

why is ubicom discontinuing the 100mhz part?
is it any way related to people having intermittant debugging troubles?

    The 100 mhz parts are the same as the 50s except they were tested at a higher frequency, and passed. Packaging label reflects the higher speed, also. At this frequency the SX ran quite hot and it was really not practical with current consumption. The market was small and the 100 mhz versions were discontinued.

    Many people use the regular 50s and run them at 75-80 mhz.

    That's unfortunate. It is nice to know you're working with a chip that has enough headroom to scale upwards if you need it. Now that there is an SX contest that puts emphasis on the throughput of the chip, I have an application that will take advantage of it.
