program to listen to the BASIC stamp

Hi,
I'm using a basic stamp 2 to communicate through a serial port with macromedia director.
I want the stamp information to control video playback in director -
unfortunately lol.gifthe task of reading from the serial port seems to interfere with director's capacity
to play the AVIsmad.gifcry.gif- maybe this is a coding faultredface.gif, any suggestions would be usefulidea.gif.
are there any other programs i could use· for this purpose besides director?

    It has been a while since I've seen a post like this, but I have seen (heard about) successful implementations of BASIC Stamp/Director. That said, your issue is with Director and serial input -- there are probably Macromedia/Director-specific forums that can offer help.
