Information on connecting LCD with KS0070B controller

Hello all:

I've recently buyed a LCD display (16x2) with a Samsung KS0070B controller and I need to know if I can use the same code an instructions as the Hitachi HD44780 controller.

I buyed this display because it's the only one available in my country (Chile) and I find that the especifications are very similar, it also works with a 8-bit serial interface and has the same pin configuration as the Hitachi HD44780.

    Yes, I believe they are compatible. That said, you should acquire the spec sheet for the KS0070B so that you can compare its requirements against any pre-written code that you want to use.

    Thank you Jon... I also think they are compatible... I haven´t tried yet but I will try tomorrow and I will post the results.
