embedded blue 500 resources?

Hi all,
does anybody have any resources beyond the supplied documentation for·the EB500·app mod. In particular error handling routines when in data mode, and using the flow control effectivley. The manufacurers documentation seems a bit light and I'd like to get·my bs2 and bsp talking with more reliability and speed. I have a PSX controller 7 byte packet (6 data and 1 checksum) streaming, at about 16Hz, but I think it will have to improve on the reception side once tasks are added to the receiving bsp. It appears that it takes a lot longer to SERIN than to SEROUT, even tho they're at the same baud (9600). Any·tips would be appreciated.
