Basic Stamp and 2 Icon H-Bridges

I want to control two dc motors using an Icon H-Bridge for each of them, and control both H-Bridges with a Basic Stamp 2 (most likely the BS2P24).· I want the Basic Stamp 2 to take input from a RC pistol style remote to control motor speed and direction.· I have been trying to find more information on this topic on the Internet, but am not having much luck.· My main concern from the little that I have found is that the Basic Stamp 2 may not be able to send PWM signals to both H-Bridges fast enough and this might be better handled by a separate PMW module?· Maybe the PWMPAL is what I need to do this?· It would be greatly appreciated if someone could point me in the right direction on this topic.

Have you considered using the ICON Interface Module? -- that would allow the BASIC Stamp to send motor speed commands through a serial interface, vastly simpliflying things.· There is information at the link below:

I use the Scorpian dual RC H Bridge motor controller (available at http://www.lynxmotion.com/Product.aspx?productID=89&CategoryID=10·) which will control two motors, and·feed it pwm for each channel with a servo controller such as the one available at http://www.parallax.com/detail.asp?product_id=28023. Like Jon says, this simplifies the motion control into simple·SEROUT commands. I shopped around at Solutions Cubed, but I think my combination cost less.
