HEY GUYS
Please help me .... i have been asked to design a controller for a new machine that vibrates·from 80-350hz with movement of up to 10mm. i need something that i can monitor this movement (down to about 1.5-2mm)·so i can display·the distance and also the freq of movement on lcd (via stamp) and be able to speed it up and slow it down via a control panel (up/down buttons) there is a few things like motors and switches i need to add too radiator water temp, oil temp,·just to slow on display.......
·and hydrolic controllers/pressure sensors... i ·have programmer friend handy somewhere just need to know wot sensors etc.

ps if there·is someone that is will to·help me with designing the ideas·as there is a few things i need help with monitoring and automation i need to add to this machine....... ·please help?
new to stamps but learn fast... very good knowledge of electronics / circuits.......(tech)

ps is there a supplier in New Zealand as i need these·things. as this could turn to big supply/demand job.......

    Hi ATOMIC

    I put together an accelerometer for our radar control system at work.
    Was very easy to throw together....the math is the part that takes the extra time tweaking!

    I used an ADXL210 made by Analog Devices!· This one was good to 10G's but they do have a 50g one and smaller than 10G's too.
    I don't know the math for your use...but moving 10mm at 350Hz seems like you could excede the 10G limit.
    F=M*A??? something!

    Anyhow, http://www.analog.com/IST/SelectionTable/?selection_table_id=110· is the link to their selection table for the different sensors they have!

    I can't remember the difference between the Analog and PWM ones...except that maybe the PWM ones had better noise immunity!
