BLDC Motor Control Issues

I am trying to run two of the hoverboard motors on a flysky FS I6X using the github library https://github.com/ironsheep/P2-BLDC-Motor-Control
The demo for the flysky controller on 2 motors does not seem to work, and I cannot tell why. I can run every other demo except the flysky ones. It boots to the P2, and it is all connected correctly and paired properly. However I get an error with some type of ESTOP triggering during the power up sequence. I've been trying off and on to get this working for a couple months and it still doesn't really work. Any Ideas?
