powering a servo question

in BASIC Stamp
Hello!
These CR servos from Brown Dog Gadgets, https://tinyurl.com/bdgcr0 can indeed be powered directly from the servo headers on the BOE setup. And the conventional or 270 degree ones are shown on their site as part of a project two people built using their trademarked crazy circuits kit, which uses the Micro Bit, to control what looks like a labyrinth game. And I know that's a 3.3v device. So the real question is one of, can the Stamp 1 directly power the servo that I am describing? Or would the servo need external power?
Mascot away.

Have you considered asking the vendor for detailed specifications? I couldn't find anything obvious with a quick search, so I tried ChatGPT.
If this information is accurate it will be fine with a BS1.
Hello!
Yes it is. I did ask the vendor those questions, however they backpedaled a big amount and confirmed that the thing worked for their Micro:Bit projects so of course it would work with the Stamp. The other questions concerned the type of wheels they chose.
But I'd rather ask people than an LLM, with its own issues.
No mascot.
