LegUp Landing Gear for motorcycle

i need help with a design or what is needed for my situation

i wan to install two independent motors on a motorcycle as a assist to keep the motorcycle upright when standing still. motors wont do any lift as to come out by a switch trigger and back up with switch trigger. problem a have is
1) when on uneven surface some how wheel or foot has to recognize that is taking weight and cut off that side wheel so to prevent motorcycle falling over so almost like a pressure or change in current from motor. adjustable resistance maybe
your help will be appreciated

Have you already chosen arms that the motors would drive? (I assume some sort of ram that extends to the ground?)
What weight would the motors need to support?

I thought there were 12v DC powered inline rams (12V Linear Actuators) out there... would that be what you are thinking of?
If yes- what about adding a DC current sensor to determine when the actuator experiences a rise in resistance (ie. hits the ground). Plenty of DC current sensor modules on Amazon- bound to be one that suits your setup. Probably you'd want something fairly sensitive to sudden changes in force.

Or as a manual solution, something like a camera mount on each side? Example, search for: SmallRig 22" Magic Arm

Edit: What should happen if the ram pushes on an object it could damage? Such as a mammal or soft surface? Need some thoughts around safety- depends on the weights involved I suppose. For a lightweight motorcycle, a generous rubber pad (foot) might be sufficient to spread the load and cushion the target.

  • The landing gear from GLK doesn't measure load but has end switches for travel, as far as I could see from their manual.
I am astonished, that somewhere this is allowed to be used. If it unintendedly goes down while driving, there will be an accident.
