Scribbler 1 getting started
I found a Scribbler 1 at a surplus store and I'm trying to work with it. It turns on and does a few beeps, but the demo modes I read about don't seem to work. I also haven't yet found a user guide, so if anyone could point me to that, I'd appreciate it.
Also, I am working on a Mac and I would like to use Python and the myro library if possible. The myro documentation talks about Bluetooth pairing with the device, but I haven't figured out how do do that or if it is possible yet.
Any help would be appreciated!

I think the Scribbler uses the P1 which doesn't run Python. Spin is mechanically (formatting) to Python, and easy to learn. That said, you won't have access to Python libraries -- you may have to translate them.
Doesn't the blue Scribbler 1 have a Basic Stamp 2? That's programmed in PBASIC. The red Scribbler 2 was the first to have a P1.

You may be right; thanks for the correction. In either case, Python is not available for that Scribbler.
A few minutes later...
You are correct. I found this on Pololu.com:

Correct, the original blue Scribbler was BS2-based and used PBasic. Still a great robot and surplus find. Hopefully you got the serial/USB adapter with it.
There was a third-party (IPRE Fluke) hardware add-on which used Python Myro.

These boards pop up on Ebay occasionally. You can nab this one for $40: https://www.ebay.com/itm/374985106979
