For our own Phil Pilgrim a suggestion for a memorial

Hello!
This is going to sound positively strange, but our friend designed the Prop Backpack, to produce composite video. And of course to display stuff on just such a screen. I have one here, sent to me after a fashion via a member. I have just restored my efforts in using it to display "stuff" on a screen.
It was discontinued not too long ago.
How hard would it be to restore them as a short production run, say about anything up to 250? Naturally it uses the QFP form of the Prop and that was discontinued a while ago. This one would be on a DIP packaging variant. Obviously, I'm just blowing exhaust from plasma vents here but it does sound like a good idea.
Two mascots interested and watching.

I would be interested in a couple of them. I have copies of the original code from 2010, but none of the boards.
@"Buck Rogers" could you post some images of the board you have along with some examples of it working. It would be nice to get a visual of the board in action.
Even if we don't get a production run done, it would be nice to honor Phil with a at least a small demo or presentation of his creation.
Do you have the original firmware prop_backpack_monitor.binary
Q2's are UM6K1NTN
I've attached the software zip file that I have.
Thank you @DigitalBob for the PDF and Transistor info.
Thanks for the files. I guess all we need now is the "basic_sio".
