FlexProp terminal gobbledegook has gone away

I have 2 Edge modules (Rev "B"), one in the Edge breadboard and the other in the Mini Breakout and I have always had this issue of garbled characters when I should have been seeing "Entering terminal....."
Furthermore, if I disturbed my powered USB hub, the P2-Edge program would crash.
I have read that others have had similar issues and so I have been living with it.
Now I have my own board powered-up, everything is rock-solid but this is powered by a "Pico ATX" power-supply. No gobbledegook and I can abuse my powered USB hub all I want and everything remains hunky dory.
