I haven't run the diff so do no really know, but I know for sure that TAQOZ Reloaded (not the ROM version) already had that option and that is "clkfreq!" - works with the 20 MHz step IIRC but i only used it at 120 MHz or more up to 340 MHZ.
The terminal session and baud rate is preserved and you are still maintaining the interactive session with the TAQOZ after the change.
