Dog bot
Started construction of this robot dog.
Got idea from here: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/bittle-a-palm-sized-robot-dog-for-stem-and-fun#/
Attempting to do it with 3D printed parts and full size servos.

First test of 3D printed parts turned out pretty good.
Minor error on the inside, but easily fixed with saw and pliers.
Just ordered some nuts and bolts to hold it all together.
Awesome robot!
Thanks! Check it out, locomotion assembled
Hi
Really neat robot. Seems like a simple idea but the videos show it walks very authentically.
Which servo did you settle on?
Keep us posted- now the fun starts with the software.
Dave
Servo is "TURNIGY™ TGY-S901D DS/MG ROBOT SERVO"
Going to try to make them smarter soon, as described here: https://forums.parallax.com/discussion/173069/serial-servo-bench-test-works#latest
Hi
Oh yes I read that post- didn't connect them- gets more interesting every day!
Dave
It's walking! Ok, more like crawling... But, it does actually move in the forward direction...
Definitely needs a better P2 board...
Here's the code:
Great start! Baby steps!
Had to go back to the drawing board a bit as this one was too skinny... Kept falling over...
This new version is almost twice as wide and is much more stable. More like pit-bull now instead of a greyhound.
Excellent! Looks like a future Figure 8 contender!
Cool! Great work. For just a moment I thought it was scaling a wall.
Perspective can do dat!
Love it!
A Propeller version of OpenCat https://github.com/PetoiCamp/OpenCat or the Bittle dog would be a lot of fun!
