Dazzler just arrived. Waited a long time.
But now, you can get it on amazon, next day...
Anyway, dropped in the Arduino layout board,
set some pin assignment and it mostly worked right away.
The driver code was mostly unmodified. Just had to disable the power down pin cycling code as the fpga does this for us. Also, had to slow down the SPI clock for some unknown reason.
You don't really need a special board to use Dazzler. Could just jumper a handful of pins and +5V...
It works a little differently than I thought... Has some special modes. One is a terminal mode where it acts like an ANSI terminal with serial interface. That could be useful...

One issue is that it doesn't seem to work with TVs, just computer monitors.
At least, didn't work with two of my TVs I tried it on.
So, my own EVE3 board with VGA output seems to an advantage there.
I've come across that TV vs PC monitor issue a few times. TVs want 525 or 576 or whatever lines, or higher resolutions line 720 or 1080 lines.
