Max7219 Demo P1

I couldn't find any Max7219 demo's for the P1, So here's mine. Found the base object on the forum a while back, but it didn't work.

That may be true with the recent forum changes, your best bet is to zip your files into a single file and attach that file.

I've attached some Max7219 P1 code I found back in 2016. If memory serves it works pretty well and uses PASM.

I'll have to bring out some P1 hardware to try out your routines, I've focusing more on the P2 lately...

For your interest @mjb did this back in 2016 with multiple displays setup as a standard character display so it included the 96 byte lookup table for all the characters etc. This was running on Tachyon and even Tachyon's console output could be redirected to it transparently.

Thanks, I already have the JM max7219. My demo worked out ok, haven't encountered any issues. Common 7219 issues are, loose power and or Din connections.
