FLIP won't run from 5 - 9V input

I have a program loaded in EEPROM. As soon as I disconnect USB from computer the FLIP shuts down. I have a 5V power connected to 5 - 9V in. Am I wrong that this is the power input when not connected to USB?

    AHH!
    problem solved. I had been powering a sensor from the USB5v out pin. As soon as I powered that sensor from the same 5V as the rest it now works.
