The only API change from the previous versions is that the polygon function now has an additional parameter to force it to interpret the polygon as clockwise or counterclockwise. Pass 0 to get the usual auto-detection.
The more important changes are internal: Display list data is now more compact and the render cogs can handle more shapes before the screen starts to distort.

I am amazed by her skills to squeeze stuff like this out of the P1, she seems to be a very dedicated and smart woman and is helping out others here in the forums too.
