Smart-Pin Mode %10010 AND !Y[2] vs. Mode %10010 AND Y[2]? — Parallax Forums

Smart-Pin Mode %10010 AND !Y[2] vs. Mode %10010 AND Y[2]?

This mode, %10010, seems to use the same Y[1:0] settings, although the title notes !Y[2] and Y[2]. How do I differentiate between them? Nothing in the v33 P2 Smart-Pin document explains this difference. Thanks. --Jon

I read that as being Y[2] selects the modes. ie Y[2] = 0 is the first one, and Y[2]=1 is the second one
The second mode reads like a monostable/watchdog/timeout checking type operation.
  • Thank you. It would have been easier for people if the docs had said what you did. I'm revising on the Smart-Pin section of the documentation and software examples and will change it so people better understand the Y[2] bit. Cheers. --Jon
