Can Propeller 1 or 2 be used to create a contact-less body temperature sensor ? ( to check for fever )
If yes, which low cost temperature sensor would be most suitable for propellers ?

is out of stock in Mouser, Digikey, Element14 and RS.

Got any other more available infrared chip?

Agreed, but I think the availability of the particular sensor is in question.

Yes, they are, and 3*price or more when you find them. Ask any care provider agency. Any uC should work, just need a way to determine and apply appropriate correction factors to get the correct body temp.

I posted a driver for the FLIR lepton some time back...

One version is calibrated.
That might work.
A bit expensive though ...
