What are Prop-2 "relative" pins?

I started to revise a bit of the Smart-Pin section of the manual. The Smart-Pin section of the Propeller-2 document notes (page 65):

x001 = relative +1 pin's read state

Does that mean the next highest pin relative to this pin's number? Or something else? The colorful block diagram shows +1, +2, etc., at the Logic Input (%A_B_F) block.
