I have a feeling it would have a much harder time walking if it had to carry its power source. It's still very interesting.
It looks like the feet are wide enough that diagonal pairs can act as a stable base for the robot. Usually quadrupeds have to shift their center of mass as they walk. This robot can stand as long as two diagonal feet are on the ground.
It won't be long until these flexoskeletons are running off of nuclear energy, with no tether. When that happens, run for the hills
