Communicate with Tachyon via I2C

Not sure if there is a reserved area for Tachyon discussion but someone will advise. Just been looking at my ESP8266 with regard to serial comms at 115200 using a software serial setup. It seems that 9600 may be the limit. I wonder if it might be possible to communicate with Tachyon via I2C.

    Using I2C for communications is not a good idea although I2C is great for talking to I2C peripherals. I read somewhere that you can run the ESP8266 at much high baud rates, up to 2.5Mbps. But I believe in functionality first, having been bogged down with trying to get it perfect before you know what you need. So just try it at 9600 first off and get some functionality going. After that you can track down how to run faster.
